Take a group of eager alumni, throw them into a condensed version of Joshua Katz's dynamic freshman seminar on Ancient Hieroglyphics, and what do you get? After two weeks, a collection of people who can decipher the stories on the walls of temples and monuments and who have learned a lot and laughed a lot. The Princetonians who joined the dynamic team of Katz and two master Egyptologists cruised the River Nile to see the major sites of this ancient civilization and soak up the culture and beauty of today's Egypt.
