A cheerful group of Tigers set sail from Portugal, onward to Spain, then to northern France and ended the voyage in Portsmouth, England. Professor Emeritus William Howarth led the group in frequent precept sessions on topics as wide-reaching as the Basques and the nature of war. And luckily, a riotous post-Mont-St -Michel wine tasting blotted out most (if not all) of the collective memories of two-day Beaufort 9 waves in the Bay of Biscay.
